Certified Assays
Some of our certified assays are these six metals, (platinum, palladium, rhodium, iridium, materials, such as catalysts and PGM-bearing solutions, and ruthenium, and osmium) which make up the platinum group metals. Of the six certified assays, platinum and palladium are the most secondary materials to refiners and most companies import commercially. PGM are byproducts of the mining of some other metal; usually after the certified assays; the principal domestic use of a PGM was in the catalytic nickel or copper. Some of the major PGM mining is for use in converters of automobiles and light trucks where they reduce the carbon monoxide, unburned hydrocarbons, and nitrogen. New technologies are continuously developed to reduce operating costs and increase efficiency in showing certain properties which make up unique certified assays.
