Rhodium Assay
Looking at our rhodium assay sampling process the rhodium is complex because the metal occurs in ores mixed with other metals such as palladium, silver, platinum, and gold. Sometimes the process of precious metal assay retrieval such as platinum, palladium, and rhodium assay is the main focus of a particular industry while other times it’s a byproduct. The extraction is complex because of other metals present and only worthwhile since the rhodium that is yielded in the rhodium assay is the basis of very important catalysts in other industries. Preliminary treatment of the ore or base metal byproduct is required to remove silver, gold, palladium, and platinum. Dryness and burning under hydrogen gas gives you the pure rhodium resulting from the rhodium assay sample.
